About Chamoli Districts :

Chamoli, carved as a seperate revenue district in 1960 out of the erstwhile Grahwal district, lies in the Central Himalya and constitutes a part of the celebrated ‘Kedar Kshetra’. The District Chamoli is surrounded by Uttarkashi in North-West, Pithoragarh in South-West,Almora in South East,Rudraprayag in South-West and Tehri Grahwal in West. The total geographical area of the District is around 7520 sq.kms. Chamoli district is criss-crossed by several important rivers and their tributaries. Alaknanda, traversing a distance of 229 kms. before it confluence with Bhagirathi at Devprayag and constituting the Ganga, is the major river. The district is divided into 6 Tehsils, 9 Blocks, and 1154 Villages. The places of tourist interests in the Districts are Auli, Gopeshwar, Vasu dhara, Valley of Flowers, Satopanth Lake, Bedni Bugyal, RoopKund, Badrinath, Tapovan, Gwaldam, Joshimath, Kagbhusandi Tal, Nanda devi Sanctuary, Hemkund Sahib, Kuari Pass, and Rudra nath

Tourist Places :

Auli :

In the summer, Auli bugyal is inviting but in the winter it is irresistible with its hoary snow slopes and skiing facilities. Auli can be reached by road or ropeway from Joshimath .It provides an excellent panoramic view of the giant mountain peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet and Dunagiri. From January to March, the Auli slopes are usually covered with a thick carpet of snow, about 3 mts deep. The stretch of 3 Kms. with a drop in elevation of 500 mts. is considered to be a very good skiing ground by international standard. The background of lofty snow clad mountains heightens the sprit of the skiers.

To attract attention, skiing festivals are also conducted at Auli. These now include the national championships staged by the Winter Games Federation Of India. While skiing is the chief attraction at Auli, there are other attraction like cable car rides and rope lifts, or spend the day outdoors building snowmen, or having snowball fights

Gopeshwar :

Situated at a height of 1308 mts. amidst beautiful mountain ranges, terrace farms and small lakes, the picturesque township of Gopeshwar is the district headquarter of Chamoli. An ancient temple of Lord Shiva is the main attraction of the town and thousands of pilgrims come here throughout the year to visit the temple. Owing to its natural beauty and fresh and serene atmosphere, Gopeshwar is becoming a major attraction for the tourists. Many well known tourist spots and religious centres are spread around this town. According to historians, the name Gopeshwar has associations with the name of Lord Krishna.

Besides the ancient temple of Lord Shiva, Vaitarni Kund, a group of temples without idols and Oak View are other places of interest.

Vasu dhara :

Water falls have always captivated the human imagination. 5 Kms. from Mana village, toward the west is the Vasudhara fall with a sheer drop of 145 mtrs., set in a background of snowy peaks, glaciers and rocky heights. Violent wind sometimes sprays out the entire volume of the water falling and it appears that the water fall ceases for a minute or two, giving rise to a lot of superstitious ideas to the locals.

Tapovan :

In contract to the annoying hustle and bustle of city life of Joshimath, Tapovan is a peaceful place known for its hot springs which are belived to possess miraculous healing powers. Tapovan is 15 kms. from Joshimath. A 3 kms. trek from here leads to Bhavishya Badri, one of the five Badris

AIPMT 2014 – Information for Parents / Guardians

(1) Parents/Guardians are advised to ensure that their ward should not indulge in unfairmeans activities/malpractices which breach the examination rules. If any candidate is found to be indulged in any such activity he/she shall be debarred from taking this examination permanently in future and shall also be liable for criminal action and/or any other action deem fit by the Board.

(2) The conduct of AIPMT Examination would be video graphed. The candidates are required to keep their head in upright position and face the camera during the videography so that their identity could be clearly established.

(3) It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her postcard size (4”X6”) photograph during the conduct of AIPMT Examination. Photograph should have white background only. On the reverse side of the photograph, candidate must mention his/her name, Application Form number, roll number of Examination. This photograph will be collected by the Invigilator concerned after matching the photograph with the candidate appearing in the Examination.

(4) Candidates are required to affix clear thumb Impression in the confirmation page of online application form before submitting to the Board and also in the Attendance Sheet at the examination hall for verification of Identity.

  • Log on to website www.aipmt.nic.in
  •  Download the Information Bulletin and Replica of online Application form to read it carefully to understand eligibility criteria and other requirements for submission of application online.
  •  Go to the link “Apply On-line” and open the same.
  •  Read the instructions and procedure for on-line submission of Application Form carefully. At the end of this page, following four links to apply online are given:

(a) Fill in the on-line application form Part-I and note down the registration number.
(b) Upload images of photograph and signature in JPG format at Part-II of the application.
(c) Make payment of fee through Debit/Credit Card or download Challan for payment in the designated accounts of Canara Bank/Syndicate Bank/e-Post Office at Part III.
(d) If fee is deposited through Challan, fill in the relevant columns of on-line application form at Part-III furnishing the details of fee deposited.
(e) Take print out of Confirmation page(s) at Part IV of online application format to send to CBSE along with copy of proof of fee deposited, if fee is deposited through Challan mode.

  • Open the first link, follow the instructions carefully and submit the information. At the end of this page, two links “Next” and “Reset” are given. If you are satisfied that filled in information is correct then Click “Next” otherwise “Reset”. After opening “Next”, information submitted can be checked and if information is correct, go for “Submit” otherwise go for “Back”.
  • After submission of data at Part I, programme will automatically take you to second link for uploading of photograph and signature.
  •  After uploading of photograph and signature, programme will automatically take you to third link for payment of fee.
  •  Follow the instructions and remit the fee. After successful remittance of fee and updating of payment particulars online (if fee is remitted through Challan), programme will take you to fourth link to take print out of Confirmation Page.
  •  Follow the instructions to take the print out of Confirmation Page and Address Slip of the CBSE to be pasted on A5 (12” x 10”) Envelope for sending the complete application form to the CBSE. Kindly ensure that at least four copies of the Confirmation Page and one copy of the Address Slip may be got printed. Three copies of the Confirmation page may be kept safely by the candidate for any future need. One copy of the Confirmation Page may be completed as per instructions for sending to the Board. The photocopy of this Confirmation Page along with the proof of fee paid and the original receipt issued by the Post Office may also be kept safely by the candidate.
  • All the four links for online submission of application form, uploading of photograph and signature, payment of fee and to take print out of confirmation page can also be used separately.
  •  The CBSE has also provided the facility of submission of application form with late fees. For this purpose, candidates need to pay Rs.1000/- as late fee in addition to the actual/examination fee. Submission of application form with late fee can also be made only online. Also, the process of submission of application will remain the same as in case of submission of application form without late fee. Even for the application submitted with late fee, last date for sending the print out of the Computer Generated Confirmation Page is fixed. Candidates are required to ensure that Confirmation Page of Online application along with proof of Payment of fee should reach in the CBSE on or before the last date of receipt of application form.
  •  Facility of submission of application form, uploading of photograph and signature, payment of fee and printing of the Computer Generated Confirmation Page would be ceased at 05.00 p.m. on the last day of each slot. Hence, candidates are required to complete the process within the prescribed duration.
  • Even after the successful submission of online application form within due date, if the Computer Generated Confirmation page is not received by the Board on or before the last date or received without requisite fee, the application form of the candidate will be treated as cancelled.
  •  Candidates are well versed with the technology of online submission of application form and without any help they are capable in submission of application form online. In case, if any candidate is having any problem, such candidate may visit FACILITATION CENTRE fixed by the CBSE in selected schools/Institutions. The services of facilitation centres are free of cost and available only during working hours.

A candidate can apply for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) only on-line by logging on to www.aipmt.nic.in.

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:

  •  Candidate should have scanned images of his latest photograph and signature in JPG format only, for uploading as part of submission of online application.

 Decide the mode of payment of fee,

  •   Through Debit/Credit Card using on-line gateway payment facility, or
  •   Depositing in CBSE Bank Account with Canara Bank or Syndicate Bank directly or depositing in CBSE Account with e-Post Office by      downloading the Challan Form from the website of www.aipmt.nic.in.

(a) If decided to pay fee through Debit/Credit Card, check the validity of the Card and keep it ready with you while logging on to website for submitting application form.

(b) If decided to pay fee off-line mode, choose the Bank or e-Post Office for depositing the Fee through Challan/Deposit Slip downloaded from website www.aipmt.nic.in after completing Part-II of Registration.

(c) After Depositing Fee in the Bank/e-Post office, the Deposit Slip bearing Application Registration Number, Name and address of the Bank branch with branch code/Post Office with Pin Code where fee is deposited and transaction ID number be kept ready with you while logging on to website for final submission of Part-III of the application form.

(d) Print the Confirmation Page of online application after final submission at Part-III of the application form.
