Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is the entry level examination for the Actuarial Profession in India. This test was first started during January 2012 and thereafter it is being conducted twice a year (June and December). Each time around 40%-50% of the total number of candidates could successfully clear the test and the marks obtained by candidates are not published. The test includes both statistics as well as mathematics subjects and the duration of the test is 2 Hours. There are 55 questions asked in the test covering 1 mark, 2 marks and 5 marks questions. There are negative markings for wrong answers to the extent of 50%.

Students are advised to cover the whole syllabus giving priority to study materials supplied by the Institute of Actuaries of India. Candidates should cover the whole study materials thoroughly before attempting the test. ACET Exam Question Papers

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is held twice a year during June and December through online mode. The question paper is presented to the candidates on a computer screen and student has to click their choices for the MCQs asked in the test. Since its inception ACET question papers are not published and students are not allowed to take copy of the question paper asked in the examination. Considering this fact, the test puts more difficulty upon the candidates preparing for the test. It is only students who appear for the  test can tell something about the question papers and pattern of the examination. However, students should keep focusing on study materials supplied by the Institute of Actuaries of India and practice as many questions of similar pattern. The ACET December 2013 exam result is declared by the Institute of Actuaries of India. The result is now available on the website www.actuariesindia.org. Entranceindia congratulates its registered users who have successfully completed the test. Those who subscribed our model papers after June 13, 2013 and could not clear the test can extend their subscription for one more term free of cost for ACET June 2014 Examination.  Out of 2601 candidates who appeared for the test only 1139  candidates could successfully cleared the test. The result is around 44% of the total number of candidates who appeared the test.

ACET Model Papers June 2014

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) June 2014 is scheduled to be held on 14th June 2014. Students can register for the test from 1st March 2014 till 7th May 2014. This test is known for its peculiarity being questions are taken from a large database of various types of questions and students find it new pattern and new type in each successive examination. In the same sitting also different students get different sets of questions and they give different opinions about the question pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Hence, it is imperative for the students to practice more number of questions of varied types based on the syllabus prescribed for the test. Coverage of study materials provided by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) is must before attempting any model papers or practice papers. The ACET Test was conducted for the first time during January 2012 and since then we at Entranceindia have been preparing model papers and sample papers for the test. This entry level exam was started for the first time during January 2012 replacing the older system of direct entry into the Actuarial Science Course. This exam is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). This is a computerized test and students have to take the test in a computerized test centre. ACET Test Centres are available at major cities across India. The only eligibility condition for the test is having qualified 10+2 with English as a subject. The minimum age should be 18 years. There is no mandatory conditions as to mathematics and statistics as a subject in 10+2 level. However, students of mathematics and statistics find it easy taking up the test than students from other branches. ACET Eligibility

Actuarial Common Entrance Test is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India to test candidate’s ability to pursue Actuarial Science to become an Actuary. This test is a kind of entrance test consists of two subjects viz. Statistics and Mathematics. The minimum eligibility is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 (or, equivalent) with English as one of the subjects.
