Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is the entry level examination for the Actuarial Profession in India. This test was first started during January 2012 and thereafter it is being conducted twice a year (June and December). Each time around 40%-50% of the total number of candidates could successfully clear the test and the marks obtained by candidates are not published. The test includes both statistics as well as mathematics subjects and the duration of the test is 2 Hours. There are 55 questions asked in the test covering 1 mark, 2 marks and 5 marks questions. There are negative markings for wrong answers to the extent of 50%.
Students are advised to cover the whole syllabus giving priority to study materials supplied by the Institute of Actuaries of India. Candidates should cover the whole study materials thoroughly before attempting the test.
