|Veterinary Council of India (VCI) wil not conduct All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) — 2017 for filling up of 15% of total number of seats in recognized Veterinary Colleges under All India quota for the academic year 2017-18. Interested students who desired to take admission into B.V.Sc. & A.H.course under 15% seats on all India basis are advised to appear in NEET (UG)-2017 which will be conducted on 7th May, 2017. VCI is contemplating to use merit list of NEET UG – 2017 for allocation of seats to the recognized Veterinary Colleges (except Jammu and Kashmir) for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India quota.|
AIPVT or the All India Pre- Veterinary Test is an entrance exam for admission of 15% of the total number of seats in various Veterinary Colleges across India except in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. AIPVT is being conducted by the Veterinary Council of India. (VCI).
You can apply for the AIPVT through online application. Successfully cracking this admission test lets you get admitted in the course for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BV. Sc and AH). This course is of duration of five years, including six months of compulsory rotating internship.
To sit for the AIPVT candidates need to pass in 10+2 level with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English is required. For SC/ST candidates at least 40% marks are required.
How to apply
You can go ahead and apply online. For this you need to be logged into www.aipvt.vci.nic.in. You need to follow the steps for AIPVT online application form very carefully while applying online and should not make any mistake. First, it is advisable to download the information bulletin and read in thoroughly and carefully to ensure that you are eligible for the exams. The instruction of how to tackle online application is provided in the information bulletin. Before you go ahead with the online application process, make sure that you keep your scanned image of photograph, your signature and your thumb impression ready in JPEG format. If you belong from J&K a self declaration is also required. Minutely study the online application form and fill it up very carefully. After that you need to upload the scanned images which are already with you. Now you need to proceed with the payment of the examination fee. You can pay your fee by the use of Debit/ Credit Card or by e-Challan. After clicking on the submission of online application form, the download of confirmation page shall be shown to you. After downloading the confirmation page keep it in safe custody along with the documents for the proof of your payment made. This is needed for future reference. Further, while submitting the online application you need to mention any one mobile number may be yours or your parents along with one email address. It is not desirable to provide more than one as the application becomes invalid. This information needs to be supplied to the authorities as VCI can communicate on the mobile phone and the email address.
The requisite examination fees of Rs.1500 for general or OBC category have to be paid. SC/SC category needs to pay Rs.750 as examination fee. Once applied you can’t cancel. Further, it is not required for you to submit printout to the administrative authorities of VCI.
The AIPVT is of three hours duration of a single paper of 200 marks. The questions are objective types with multiple choice answers and reason assertion types. The questions are placed are all general syllabus of class 11 and class 12 in the CBSE, ICSE or any State Board from science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
