JEE Main 2014 Admit Card

JEE Main 2014 Admit card will be available for download from 1st March 2014 at JEE main website Candidates are advised to check their details in the admit card carefully.

Guidelines regarding JEE Main 2014 Admit Card:

1. Please check the Admit Card carefully for your Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Test Center Name, City, State Code of Eligibility and Category. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to JEE (Main) Secretariat immediately for necessary action.

2. The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions.

3. Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the examination so as to complete the registration formalities well before the time. Registration desk will be closed 05 minutes prior to the examination.

4. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card issued by the Board shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.

5. The candidates are advised to also bring with them a copy of document (as per following applicable criteria) on the day of their JEE (Main) – 2014 and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre. The Candidates have to write Roll No. of JEE (Main) Examination on the copy of the document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.

JEE Main Admit Card

The admit card for JEE Main 2014 Examination can be downloaded from the JEE Main Website from 1st March 2014. Prior to downloading the Admit card, the candidates are required to provide their Roll No. and Board details of class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination on the JEE Main 2014 Website. Previous year pass out candidates should verify their roll number and Board details of class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination. The candidates are advised to download their admit card from JEE Main Website ( only. Also they should visit JEE Main website frequently for updates on JEE Main Examination 2014.

JEE Main 2014 Exam Hall Document Checklist

JEE Main 2014 Examination candidates need to provide COPY of the following documents to the invigilator inside the examination hall along with their JEE Main 2014 ADMIT Card.

Candidate Types and Requirement of Documents:

1. Candidates, who qualified in class 12th / qualifying Examination in 2012 or 2013, and have not opted for improvement of performance in 2014:

Copy of their Final marks- sheet/ marks statement of Class 12th /Qualifying Examination of year 2012 or 2013.

Candidates, who qualified in class 12th / qualifying Examination in 2012 or 2013, and have opted for improvement of performance in 2014 in all subjects:

Copy of their Admit card/Hall ticket for improvement of performance in Class 12th /Qualifying Examination 2014.

3. Candidates, who are appearing in class 12th / qualifying examination in 2014:

Copy of their Admit card/Hall ticket for class 12th/Qualifying Examination 2014.

The above documents are required to be submitted to the invigilator inside the examination hall. This is in addition to carrying your JEE Main 2014 Admit card.

The Candidates have to write Roll No. of JEE (Main) Examination on the copy of the above document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.

The above requirement is applicable to both pen and paper based examination and computer based examination.

# Each subject shall have 30 questions each.   

#For each correct response there shall be 4 marks and for each incorrect response there shall be 1 negative mark.    

# All questions are objective type with single correct choice.

#Date of birth : For General Candidates born or after October 01, 1989 and for Scheduled Caste
(SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates born or after October 01, 1984
Important Note – Date of birth will considered as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate .
Qualifying Examination (QE): # The only candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent  qualifying  examination in 2012 or 2013; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any quivalent qualifying examination in 2014 are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2014.
# Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2011 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2015 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2014.
# The candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying examinations in 2011, did not
pass in 2011, but passed in 2012 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2014.
Number of Attempts: A candidate can avail at JEE Main shall be limited to 03 (three) numbers.
Number of Attempts and Age Limit :#The states of Odisha and Maharashtra have now joined JEE Main system from 2014.
# Age limit for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their state level examinations, will be as per their past practice only.
#This will however be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/ NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs.

# JEE Main 2014 Exam Centres are listed for different states. There are two types of exam centres
viz. Offline and Online. In online exam centres exam is conducted in computer based and in offline exam centres exam is conducted in pen and paper based. Click here for the list of Exam Centres.
Application Procedure
Step 1 : Download the information bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility.
Step 2 : Read the contents of Online Format and instructions for applying online given in the
Information Bulletin and keep the entire information ready.
Step 3 : Keep the Scanned Images of your Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb impression
ready in JPG format only.
Step 4 : Fill in the Online Application Form.
Step 5 : Upload Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression.
Step 6 : Pay Examination Fee by Debit/Credit card or e-Challan (generated after submission
of details in online application form)
Step 7: Download Acknowledgement Slip and keep the same in safe custody.
Note: The candidate should mention only his/her own or parent’s mobile number and Email ID while
submitting the online application, as all the communication will be sent to the candidates on their registered Mobile Number and Email ID only.
