EAMCET-2013 Engineering

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU) Hyderabad is conducting Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education(APSCHE). This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered in University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. APSCHE has delegated the task to JNTU, Hyderabad for conducting the most prestigious entrance examination of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET for this year 2013. This is the19th time and 16th consecutive time that JNTU, Hyderabad has been assigned this enormous task. EAMCET is stepping towards a paper free examination. JNTUH has introduced the online mode of Application form submission through Internet.

EAMCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria:

a)  Candidates should be of India Nationality or Persons of India Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

b)  Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non – local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

c)  Qualification:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optionals or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.

OR

Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P.

d)  Age Limit:

In the case of Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admissions or on such other date as may be notified by the common entrance test committee. There is no upper age limit.

EAMCET 2013 Registration Fee:

a)  Registration Fee for Engineering Stream (E) is Rs.250/- which has to be paid through:

AP ONLINE / E-SEVA / MEE SEVA

or

CREDIT CARD / DEBIT CARD

b)  Eligible candidates Agriculture & Medical Stream (AM) who desires to appear both the streams(Agriculture & Medical Stream (AM) & Engineering Stream (E)) have to select the option both (E & AM Category), so that same centre can be allotted to the candidate for both tests.

c)  In case of candidates appearing both the streams(E & AM Category), registration fee is Rs.500/-

EAMCET 2013 Exam Pattern:

The Competitive Entrance Examination will be of 3 hours duration and will have  160 objective type questions of one mark each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The distribution of questions is as follows:

EAMCET 2013 Language of Question Paper:

The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.

EAMCET 2013 Cut Off Mark:

The minimum cut off mark in the EAMCET-2013 Test will be 25% i.e. 40 out of total 160. Minimum cut off mark is not applicable for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories.
