National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019:

National Eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) 2019 going to be the common examination for all medical undergraduate admissions in India both in central Government, State Government and other private medical universities and colleges in India. This makes NEET UG 2019 highly crucial for all medical career aspirants in India. At the same time NEET exam shall not be applicable to all AIIMS and JIPMER institutions those are under the special statures of the parliament with independent operation.

NEET UG 2019 Important Dates
National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) has changed its hand. Till 2018 NEET UG was being conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Ministry of Human Resource and Development has formed a new agency to conduct NEET UG and some similar type exams which are comes under Government of India. The newly formed agency is named as National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA will conduct NEET UG 2019 in Pen and Paper based exam.

Objective of NEET as a Common Entrance Test:

The main objective of conducting a single exam for all the medical colleges across India is to curb the corruption by bringing transparency, reducing multiplicity of exams one student has to attempt and avoid unethical practice in counseling. The exam shall be conducted throughout India at exam centers decided by National Testing Agency (NTA) who will conduct the exam. Students need not fill several medical entrance exam forms and travel long distance to write various medical entrance tests.

NEET 2019 Syllabus:

The NEET UG 2019 syllabus shall be as prescribed by NCERT and covering both class XI and XII curriculum. Students have to go through the syllabus thoroughly before preparing for this national level exam. Though the syllabus is almost same for CBSE board students, other Board and state board students need to check the gap in the syllabus compared to their syllabus.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern:

NEET UG exam pattern shall be the same as NEET UG 2018 in which 180 questions are asked carrying 4 marks each. There is negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer. For questions which are not attempted by the student there will be no negative marks. Questions are from subjects Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), Biology (90 questions).

NEET 2019 Application Process;

NEET 2019 application process shall be completely online and there is no printed application form. Students should be very careful while filling up online application form as a single mistake may invalidate the application form resulting in disqualifying the student from writing the exam. Students need to keep with them all the requisite information along with signature scan, photo scan, etc. as per the requirements. Exam fees shall also be paid through debit card / credit card / net banking / bank challan of designated banks as per NEET 2019 exam requirements.

NEET 2019 Admit Card:

NEET 2019 Admit card will be available for download from 15th April 2019 and students have to download the admit card and check for the correctness in the information. Students have to carry some original documents to exam hall as may be required by the authority and as mentioned in the Admit card.

NEET Result and Seat Counseling:

NEET UG 2019 result will be declared on 5th June 2019. NEET result is declared online and students have to check their result by providing their exam roll number. After declaration of result CBSE shall conduct seat allocation process and counseling online. From 2017 state counseling may be conducted separately for filling the seats of state and college quota after filling national quota by central counseling.

NEET UG 2018 Result
National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) has been declared its result of 2018 for MBBS admission. NEET UG 2018 held on 6th May 2018. Total registered candidate number stood at 13,26,725 out of which 5,80,648 male candidates and 7,46,076 female candidates. There were 13,23,672 Indian students where in OCI category there were 530 candidates, in NRI category 1842 candidates, 621 foreign candidates and in PIO category there were 60 students. Total 12,69,922 candidates wrote the entrance exam. Exam was conducted in 136 cities and in 2255 centres. Question paper was prepared in 11 languages.
7,14,562 candidates are able to clear the entrance exam. Cut-off mark is decreased from last year. Qualified male candidates are 3,12,399 where as qualified female candidates are 4,02,162. Out of total 720 marks required to qualify NEET UG 2018 was 119 which was 131 in 2017 for general category. For OBC, SC and ST category qualifying mark dropped from 118 in 2017 to 96 in 2018.
Topper of NEET UG 2018 is Kalpana Kumari from Bihar who scored 691 marks out of 720 marks. Rohan Purohit from Telangana scored 690 to claim the second rank. Whereas Himanshu Sharma from Delhi claimed third rank also scored 690.
